Owner/Director of Karen’s Dance Studio

Nicole (Karen’s daughter) grew up dancing under her Mom’s instruction at Karen’s Dance Studio studying the Cecchetti method of ballet, as well as pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical and acrobatics. She was awarded a scholarship to the Ann Lacey School of Performing Arts at Oklahoma City University as a Dance Performance major and attended the University for two years. Nicole then went on to perform in numerous Las Vegas production shows at hotels including The Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM, Flamingo, Rio, Riveria, and the Tropicana.

Miss Nicole also gained experience performing overseas in New Zealand, Greece, Germany, and Mexico as a dancer, acrobat and model. While in Las Vegas, she taught dance and gymnastics at Fern Adair’s Conservatory of the Arts and has taught master classes at numerous dance studios throughout the US. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Las Vegas with Honors while performing in the world famous Follies Bergere at the Tropicana hotel.

Nicole returned home to teach at her Mom’s studio and began directing the school in 2009.  She has found that not only was her Mom’s passion for dance passed down to her, but she has also inherited her mother’s love of teaching children. Miss Nicole is grateful to be home in Joplin, sharing her 15 years of professional performance experience, and honored to be continuing her mother’s legacy of quality, inspiring, dance education in Joplin.

Miss Nicole and her family reside in Joplin and you’ll often see her husband David, son Max, and daughter Sunny busy working and playing at studio.
